Sometimes You Wanna Go Where Everybody Knows Your Name

This weekend I had the honor of being in the house party of my dear friend Chris's wedding. I had a fantastic time playing catch up with my whole posse from my college days. I'm sure there are more interesting/drunk photos circulating somewhere (I definitely performed the dance routine to Thriller and could not feel my face for large portions of the evening and may have done a happy dance when someone handed me a sparkler, and may have answered my front door sans pants later that night...but that's a story for another day...), these people bring back some great memories.

Some of these memories we were trying to share at the rehearsal dinner, but we were all sitting at our tables, hands on our heads, because every story we had involved Chris helping us avoid getting slapped with an MIP, finding Chris on a Tuesday afternoon, lying on the couch, with a keg tap in his mouth, etc. And don't judge Chris, we were right there with him, he's held my hair back more than twice and was a good enough friend to call the next day to make sure I was doing okay with the hangover. But we had to limit it to 2 stories because his mother commented, "All of these stories have drinking in them?"

Sunday morning was Darryl and my 3 month wedding anniversary so I celebrated by making us blue mountain coffee that we brought back with us from our honeymoon in Jamaica!

Back in the Saddle Again

I did it, I went for a run today, hooray! I took it easy, just did one mile with no incline, but it was a run nevertheless. I did run it faster than my usual pace, so that was good. It kind of hurt while I was running, but post run, I wouldn't say I'm in any more pain than when I began. Next, I will run 1.5 miles, slow build up. I also procured these little numbers from VS and got a $50 discount. I also bought a little more lingere (the last, I promise). On the honeymoon shopping list, a pair of linnen pants from ON to wear with the orange top, I'll look smashing sipping my champagne in first class en route to Jamaica in this getup. Include a pair of aviators and some sandals and we are in business.

There's also the matter of "white night" at our resort, perhaps this getup?

I also read that white night coincides with the chocolate buffet night. What genius thought that up?

Dear Jamaica, Hurry Up and Get Here

I am ready for the wedding day but more importantly, the honeymoon. Right now I'm in Kingsville for work and I just completed a 30 minute training run. I'm tired of dieting, working, and working out. I'm very ready to lie on a beach for a week.

Upgrade

I finally got Continental to upgrade our Honeymoon tickets to First Class. Yay for cocktails before we even take off, yay for BOTH of us being allowed to use the President's Club, yay for priority check in and baggage handling and yay for actual food served on actual dishes with actual silverware and drinks in real glass cups! Not to mention copious leg room! It's D's first time to fly First Class, I'm so happy I'll get to be there to share it! I chose this picture because the man is eating an ice cream sundae. Yes, sometimes they serve them in FC. That might make Darryl's life.
