I just sank a little over $1K into my 1998 Honda Civic. I've decided this is it, the last money I will spend on repairs. I'm going to start shopping for a new Honda CRV, test drive it, etc. I think the Civic will last me many more months, but by God, if one more thing goes, I'm kicking it to the curb.
But now I have an *uncracked* exhaust manifold and a new brake job, so driving it is much more fun and way less scary.

I have a 2003 Corolla with well over 150k and I sympathize. I could drive my car forever and replace parts that I never knew existed, but I just don't want to be forced to do said maintenance while broken down on Lamar. The peace of mind is worth the car payment at times.
